About Sarai Academy

It started with a gap I couldn't ignore

Before Sarai Academy existed, I was a student looking for the same thing every student is looking for: someone who actually got it. I went looking for mentoring and tutoring that could flex around my life, that understood my subjects the way I needed them explained, that felt personal instead of generic. I couldn't find it. Every option felt like it was built for someone else's schedule, someone else's learning style, someone else's goals.

So I decided to build it myself.

From one student to over a hundred

What began as one tutor helping students one-on-one has grown, in just over a year, into Sarai Academy — a structured HSC academy supporting students from Year 1 through Year 12 across English, Maths, Biology, Legal Studies, and more. Somewhere along the way, we crossed a milestone that still means everything to us: more than 100 students taught, each one with their own goals, their own pace, and their own version of what "getting it" looks like.

That number isn't just a statistic. It's 100 students who walked in unsure and walked out with a system they trusted.

The why behind everything we do

Why flexible, 24/7 access?

Because I remember what it was like to hit a wall at 11pm the night before an assessment with nowhere to turn. Learning doesn't happen on a 9-to-5 schedule, and support shouldn't either. That's why our students have access to us when they actually need us, not just when it's convenient for us.

Why a proven methodology?

Because talent and effort deserve a system that channels them properly. That's why we built The Sarai Blueprint, our proprietary teaching method spanning essay writing, exam technique, and exam-day strategy. It's not a collection of tips. It's a repeatable framework that has now been tested and refined across more than 100 students, so every student who walks through our (virtual or physical) door gets a method that's already proven to work, not a guess.

Why online and face-to-face?

Because personalised doesn't mean one-size-fits-all, even down to how a lesson is delivered. Some students learn best sitting across a table, working through a problem in real time. Others need the flexibility of learning from home, around sport, work, or family commitments. We didn't want to make our students choose between quality and convenience, so we built an academy where they don't have to.

Where we're headed

Sarai Academy was built on a simple belief: every student deserves mentoring that adapts to them, not the other way around. That belief hasn't changed since day one — it's just grown to reach more students, across more subjects, in more ways than I ever could on my own. We're built of a team of top HSC students, here to help you achieve your dream marks, whilst still enjoying your school experience.

This is still just the beginning.

Excellence starts here.

Jap — Founder & Lead Mentor Tutor

Head Tutor

Jap is the founder and lead mentor tutor at Sarai Academy, where she works with students across Years 1–12 in English, Maths, Biology, Legal Studies, and much more. She built Sarai Academy after searching for mentoring that was genuinely flexible and personalised to her as a student, and couldn't find it. So she created it herself.

Since founding the academy just over a year ago, Jap has developed The Sarai Blueprint — a proprietary teaching methodology covering essay writing, exam technique, and HSC exam-day strategy — and used it to guide more than 100 students toward stronger results and real confidence in their subjects.

Jap is a graduating Law and Commerce student at Macquarie University, bringing the same analytical rigour and structured thinking from her own studies into how she teaches — breaking down complex ideas into clear, repeatable frameworks students can rely on under exam pressure.

As lead mentor tutor, Jap works directly with students both online and face-to-face, offering 24/7 access and support so no student is left stuck without help when they need it most.
